Region Staff

Rev. Brian Johnson is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University and Northern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity.  Prior to his appointment as the Executive Minister of ABC-MI he was an Associate Pastor in Illinois for 5 years and Senior Pastor of Crossroads Community Church in Stockbridge, MI for over 15 years where he led a significant turnaround.  In recent years, Rev. Johnson also served as a Region Board member and a Contract Consultant for ABC-MI; which is where God began to birth in his heart a vision for seeing an entire region of churches realize a transformative experience that causes the Kingdom of God to be manifest.

My favorite bible verse is "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God". 2 Corinthians 5:21

I have been married to my wife; Erika since 2002.  Together, we have two daughters, Eliana and Elisabeth. In my spare time I enjoy investing in the lives of young men by coaching high school boys basketball in my community.

Danielle serves as the Director of Mission Support. She keeps records for Missions Support from our churches of ABCMI and ABCUSA and answers queries for our member churches regarding mission giving. She keeps our staff informed of scheduled events and directs phone calls to appropriate office staff. In addition, she leads the promotion of our four Annual Offerings.

2 Timothy 2:11-13 “Here is a trustworthy saying:  If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.” I love these verses because it teaches the truth that we as believers have the assurance of eternal life. Timothy is also encouraging us to endure the hardships of life with the power of God and not on our own.

I was born and raised on the west side of Michigan, along with my brother and two sisters. I met my husband, Jason in college and we have been married now for over 15 years. We have two beautiful children, Paiton (2007) and Cody (2013). My husband is active duty in the Army and is currently serving here in Michigan. We have also lived in Southern California. Family is an integral part of my life and I love spending time with my family and friends. We love to be outdoors, cooking together, raising pigs and chickens on our little farm, and going on adventures together.

As the Director of Finance, Jane serves our Region of churches by providing exceptional accounting and financial management of the resources entrusted to us.

I was born in Denver, Colorado; raised in Lansing/East Lansing, Michigan. I met my husband, Tucker Gunneman at a Campus Life sponsored event called “Scream in the Dark” haunted house in 1978.  We have two children, two grandchildren, and two granddogs.  My daughter, Heather and her boyfriend Steve live in the Detroit area with Nilla and Fozzie (granddogs).  My son, Tyler and his wife, Kelsey live in Escondido, California with my grandchildren Willa and Titus.

In my spare time I like to read, do sewing projects, and acrylic paintings.

My favorite verse is, “Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble.  Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.  The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength.  You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.”  Isaiah 58:10-11

Kimberly serves as the Director of Administration. She has the unenviable task of keeping Rev. Brian Johnson organized. Also, she provides administrative support and oversight to the office and various boards and teams that make up ABC-MI while also producing video & marketing content that serves our churches.

Born and raised in the Flint area; now a resident of the Lansing area since 2001. I have been with my husband since 2003 and we have two children together, a daughter and son. I have a great passion for psychology, theology and advocacy for human rights, invisible illness and learning disabilities. In my free time you can find me planning my family’s next adventure or doing something creative.

Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” This is one of my favorite verses because it shows the soft spot that God has for those that are hurting, which is very comforting in hard times.
