AB Youth Ministry

The purpose of YLC is to help youth (Grades 10-12) learn what it means to be a Christian leader and to equip them with the skills and confidence to start taking an active leader role in their churches and communities for Jesus. In this program we concentrate on three important aspects in order to help them achieve this goal.

Personal Growth and Spirituality- Who am I? Who am I in Christ? What does my walk with Him look like and how do I develop a stronger walk with God.

Skill Development- Through the development of various leadership skills, the youth will learn a new confidence in taking risks and in trying different ministries so that eventually they can find their niche and giftedness.

Involvement- In YLC we find that the best way to teach them is to have them actively participate in various types of ministries. They will have opportunities to evangelize, work in soup kitchen, preach, pass out clothes to poor, visit the elderly, and more.

YLC applications are available in August and must be sent in before October 1st. The program runs October thru April, with six unique weekend events. Cost for the program is $350. SUMMIT on Youth Ministry

Every other year in January we hold a one day conference for youth pastors and youth workers.

Camping Events

Both Camp Lael in Lapeer and Camp Lake Louise in Boyne Falls offer weekend retreat opportunities.

Many groups plan their own weekend events or participate in an event planned by the camp.

The Lake Louise event for Junior High students is always the third weekend in September
